In the women’s bathroom, women in flowing, off-the-shoulder blouses and skintight pants splashed water on their faces. Men with close-shorn beards milled about in flat-billed caps and baggy suits of every hue. Night life has moved further uptown, to the northern tip of Manhattan, where swanky clubs and lounges around Dyckman Street cater to a younger Latino crowd. Rising rents have pushed out the last of the raucous restaurants, and in their place are storefront churches, or nothing at all. On the avenues around Broadway a few men sat smoking hookah pipes that Saturday there was a single domino match outside a bodega a boutique was open late for a pop-up Wax ’N’ Sip, where women mixed pink Champagne with hair removal. As recently as the 1990s, there were endless domino matches on the sidewalks, boomboxes and parked cars blasting salsa and merengue on every corner, people pouring out of bars and restaurants that turned into dance clubs after hours. Once, it would have been hard to find a louder place than Washington Heights on a Saturday night. And in what would have seemed like an impossibility not so long ago, El Deportivo has become one of the last places in Washington Heights for old-fashioned Dominican dancing. I would not say that of any other cloud based password manager, as most all other apps rely solely on a master password to decrypt your vault. When done right ( like what 1Password does), storing a password vault in the cloud does not really increase the risk of your vault being decrypted by a threat actor. There’s a big misconception that storing passwords in the cloud is less secure than storing them locally. 1Password also has support for Passkeys, which is the future of secure logins. 1Password also has routine 3rd party security audits, which they publicly publish the results. If you are using any password manager other than 1Password I would urge you to strongly consider migrating. When hibernating, aquatic turtles gain some new abilities like breathing underwater. Most animals will just simply sleep when they hibernate, but turtles do things a little differently. And most land turtles will dig holes where they will hibernate. Most aquatic turtle species will hibernate at the bottom of a lake, or in a similar place. But now that it’s starting to get colder it’s impossible to find any turtle in that area, and this made me wonder do turtles hibernate? So I decided to do some research on this subject, here is what I found out.ĭo turtles hibernate? Yes, turtles do hibernate during the winter. In the extended drought of our Mediterranean climate, turtles can estivate-hibernate, but during summer they dig down into the soil or reside in permanent pools of water or wet mud. There is a lake close to where I live, and it’s usually filled with turtles during the summer months. During the cold months in much of the pond turtle’s range, they survive by hibernating. The body temperature of these organisms relies on the ambient environment for regulation, which then determines the metabolic rate. Not surprisingly, they suffer a lot of depredation, and 90 percent become food for other animals like raccoons, foxes, otters, snakes, largemouth bass, and even bullfrogs (a pesky, non-native species wreaking havoc on our aquatic environments).īut how do the adults get through frigid winters and our hot, dry summers? Turtles are poikilotherms, which is a Greek-derived word for “varying heat” or, in the common vernacular, cold-blooded. Even once the clutch of eggs hatches, which takes about three months, most of the mini-Oreo-size hatchlings stay underground through the winter, finally emerging in the spring. The female pond turtle digs a pear-size hole and lays anywhere from two to 12 eggs. She was searching for a suitable nesting site-ideally a south-facing slope with low vegetation and dry, hard soil. She was most likely over 10 years of age and actually could have been up to 50. The adult female western pond turtle has a rounded nose and speckled chin. Females also have dark markings on their throats. Males have concave plastrons, which facilitate mating, and the tails of the males tend to be thicker at the base. I knew it was a female because her plastron or underbelly shell was flat, not concave, and her tail was a bit thin. I made sure to position her in the same direction she was heading. I once saw a western pond turtle in rural Mendocino County crossing a busy highway in late May. I blocked traffic momentarily and carried her across the road to safety. They are considered “vulnerable” by California’s Department of Fish and Wildlife. Fish and Wildlife Service for listing as a threatened or endangered species. The western pond turtle is under review by the U.S. The sliders have been released by pet owners, and this more fecund species occupies the same niche as our native species and is outcompeting them for food. Unfortunately, there are also two relatively common nonnative turtles that have been introduced into California-the invasive red-eared slider and the western painted turtle. And “pond” is a bit of a misnomer they frequent nearly all kinds of water-roadside ditches, sloughs, creeks, marshes, and lakes. pallida), which live north of the Central Coast and to the south, respectively. The turtle has ranged from Baja California to British Columbia, although its taxonomy is, in a word, complicated it’s generally agreed that it is two species (which we’ll call Emys marmorata and E. I am assuming you are referring to our only native freshwater turtle-the western pond turtle-which you might see basking in the sun and then quickly kerplunking right into the water. Where do turtles go in the winter and summer? -Alma, Sebastopol It was such a success that this system spread beyond automobile manufacturing to other industries such as retail, software, and even cinema. The Kanban system was developed by a Japanese industrial engineer Taiichi Ohno in an attempt to improve Toyota’s manufacturing process. It was an innovative project management product that was based on the Kanban productivity system. Fog Creek software launched Trello in September 2011 at the Tech Crunch’s Disrupt conference. He says that after three months of work, the software was useful enough to launch, but they decided to polish it some more before presenting it to the public. So there you have it – a quick step-by-step guide showing you how to integrate Trello with Slack.Trello started as a Fog Creek Software product.Īccording to Joel Spolsky, founder of Trello, they wrote the first line of code for this product in January 2011. Pro Tip: If you just want to disable notifications for a while, perhaps when doing several Trello maintenance tasks, then use the ‘Disable’ button instead of ‘Remove’. Slack Board Menu > Configure Integrations > Configured Integrations > Trello To remove an existing Trello integration from Slack, navigate back to the integration options and use the ‘Remove’ button at the top. Each separate Trello integration will count as 1 towards that total. Pro Tip: Note that Slack’s free plan only comes with 10 integrations at the moment. We normally go with a different username only but see what works best for you. To differentiate Trello notifications you can choose to post to a different Slack channel, or post using a different username or post using a different icon – or perhaps all 3.Open up the Trello options and you will see a button to add a new Trello integration.Switch to the ‘Configured Integrations’ tab.Go to Slack Board Menu -> Configure Integrations.Luckily adding another board is simple – just add another Trello integration! Many teams use multiple Trello boards, so this setup is too restrictive. Integrate multiple Trello boards with SlackĮach Slack-Trello integration will link a single Slack channel to a single Trello board. Pro Tip: If you change your mind later on, you can always come back to this page and change your settings. Once you’re done, click ‘Save Integration’ at the bottom of the page. Unsure which events to pick? Just tick all of them and then removing them if traffic becomes unmanageable. As the last step, configure which board and which events you wish to receive notifications for.Click ‘Add Trello Integration’ and you are almost done!.It’s up to you and you can change the settings later on. We sometimes use Slack’s standard ‘#general’ channel and sometimes we create a new channel called ‘#trello#. It’s your choice whether you want to use an existing Slack channel or set up a new one at this point. You will be asked to authenticate with Trello and to choose the Slack channel where Trello updates will appear.Scroll down to Trello and click the View button.Open up the Slack Board Menu and select ‘Configure Integrations’.Together they form a killer combination and integrating them makes the whole setup even more powerful. Slack is an instant messaging website that lets your team communicate easily in real-time. In case you’ve never heard of either Trello or Slack, here is a quick introduction: Trello is a free, easy-to-use online project management tool, extremely popular with both companies and individuals. We are often asked: “Can I integrate Trello with Slack”? The answer is a resounding YES and we’ll show you how to do it in a few easy steps. Report OptionsĪt the top of your report, there are a set of four buttons found alongside the date and time. Reset this selection by clicking reset zoom. Simply hover over the graph to find the starting point, then click and drag to a stopping point to create a selection. If you are instead looking to select your own timeframe, you can do so using the graph. If a fight has multiple different phases, you can select a specific phase to view by clicking on all phases and selecting one. There are two ways to select a specific timeframe in an encounter log. This allows you to continue browsing more data while still being able to see something from another section. The + IconĬlicking on any + icon will create a new filtered graph displaying whatever data you selected. Clicking this multiple times can either show only data when it is present, or only when it is absent. This is a quick and easy way to filter data to only show when auras, also known as buffs or debuffs, are active on you or an enemy target. You can find aura filters at the top of a table on in a log. Select individual players, enemies, phases or spells to have a closer look at the specified data. There are dropdowns to help organize and specify data. Once you are viewing an encounter, you can use the dropdown at the top left to return to the all encounters view. Alternatively, the select specific fights option will allow you to specify which pulls to include in a summary. You can then select a specific pull, or a combined summary can be created to view all wipes, including or excluding the kill pull. This bar indicates how far through the fight you made it. If a boss has more than one pull logged, the Show All button will bring up each pull along with the duration and a colored progress bar. When clicking a report link from a guild or on the site, you will see Encounters listed in order. Hovering over things with your mouse can give you additional information or tooltips. The best tip we can give you is to just jump right in and try things for yourself! Interact With Everything!Ĭlick on names, spells, and abilities, and you will find that each click will bring you another layer deeper to show you more specific data. Lastly it was me who got the slime spawned tho.Navigating through the different report views will help you understand how a log page is built and what views are best suited for what you are looking for. Once the slime spawned, one of them would whisper me, invite me and I would get the rest into the instanced versin with a slime. Then I started to hop a few times to find some other lonely paladins, chatted them and created a "network" of ~10 people. What I did was the following: I set up a toy that lasts 10 minutes (battle standard or the likes) to identify my "home instance". Otherwise nothing will change.Īnother tip from someone who spent 31 Hours waiting for the slime: Do NOT hop constantly. But poblm is now, people you join need to be in the same area as you to even get phasing to work. To achieve it, you need to get into a group that is in the same area as you, but in a different "instance" of it. Serverhopping is now more of an "instance hopping" so to say. Well server hopping was changed in 7.1 (i think? maybe 7.0) as you are no longer on your actual server, you are now in an "instance" of the area.

Horns are most commonly seen on animals such as cows, goats, sheep, antelopes, and rhinoceroses. Horns are unbranched and are made of bone covered in a tough substance called keratin.
